June 8, 2026 marks the second anniversary of the birth of the WongAvery Asia Pacific Peace Museum (APPM) that dedicates to education and peace.  In the past year, over 1,000 students and visitors from different walks of life, of various backgrounds and ages visited the APPM and were inspired by the peace messages brought forth throughout the museum.

 

​To support the APPM’s continued efforts in peace education, historical research, and community engagement programs, we are organizing a fundraising event Run for Peace on June 7, 2026, with an anticipation of 450 participants and a fundraising goal of CAD300,000. 

 

Thanks to the generosity of Jacco Tours, all participants of Run for Peace 2026 will get a chance to win land tours in China and Toronto-Shanghai return flight tickets. The top 25 fundraising champions will be entitled to enter another draw for 2 additional Toronto-Shanghai return flight tickets + 2 land tours to Shanghai.

 

We invite families and community members to share the fun and be part of a peace movement that aims to inspire youth engagement and learning in global peacebuilding.

 

Run for Peace 2025 had attracted over 300 community participants and running groups across the Greater Toronto Area. The event raised more than CAD 250,000 for the APPM and helped enhance public awareness and understanding of the history and historical significance of World War II in Asia.​​
